Trengwainton is Cornish for 'house of springs' which is a reference to the many small springs that run throughout the garden. It is plant growers dream with plants from around the globe scattered throughout the 25-acre garden, where there is something to inspire around every corner.

Champion magnolias and vibrant rhododendrons make way for lush banana plants and soaring echiums. The unique and restored kitchen walled garden was built to same dimensions as Noah's Ark, and is today used to demonstrate contemporary varieties of fruit and vegetables.

The garden is long and narrow, flanking a long drive and tranquil stream as it winds uphill towards Trengwainton house. This colourful boarded stream leads up to shaddy pond and sunny terrace, with stunning views across Mounts Bay.
